Aspiring (Wuxi) Microelectronics Co., Ltd. (also known as 微崇半导体) is a manufacturer of semiconductor inspection equipment founded in March 2021. The company specializes in developing tools for the front-end-of-line semiconductor manufacturing process, a market segment largely reliant on imported equipment.

Aspiring's core technology is based on nonlinear optics. It has developed an innovative 'second harmonic wave' inspection technique that utilizes ultrafast optics to perform measurements. This method allows for the detection of internal lattice defects and electrical characteristics within semiconductor wafers that are typically not visible with conventional optical inspection technologies. The company's tools provide a fast, non-damaging, inline method for inspecting wafers, targeting measurements of charge, doping, and trap density both on and below the wafer surface. These solutions are designed to assist clients during the research and development, production ramp-up, and mass production stages.

The company was established by a team with a background in semiconductor technology, joined by senior scientists and engineers. In the two years following its founding, Aspiring secured approximately 100 million yuan through five rounds of financing, including a significant Series A round. With a research and development team that constitutes over 70% of its staff, the firm focuses on providing a domestic alternative in the critical field of wafer inspection.
