About Micrima

Micrima is a UK medical technology company making personalised breast cancer risk assessment accessible to eligible adult women of all ages, including younger women outside routine screening programmes. Its portable, CE-marked Mi~Scan® device uses low-energy radio-frequency technology to measure breast density without ionising radiation or breast compression. Mi~Score®, delivered through the Mi~Scan®+ software platform, combines this measurement with personal and family health information, using established clinical risk models to estimate a woman’s risk of developing breast cancer. The service can be delivered by trained operators in clinics, pharmacies, workplaces and other community and high-street settings, extending access beyond hospitals. It enables women to understand and track their breast-density and risk profiles over time, supporting informed discussions with healthcare professionals about appropriate screening and ongoing breast care.
