MeltPlan is a construction technology company developing an AI-native planning engine to address inefficiencies in the preconstruction phase of building projects. Founded in 2025 by CEO Kanav Hasija, co-founder of health-tech unicorn Innovaccer, and COO Tanmaya Kala, a Stanford-educated civil engineer and former project executive at DPR Construction, the company aims to reduce costly changes and delays by optimizing upfront decision-making. Hasija brings a background in building data-first platforms, while Kala contributes over 17 years of field expertise in managing large-scale construction projects.

The company targets the preconstruction market, a segment it identifies as a primary source of project failures due to fragmented planning and early commitments made with incomplete data. MeltPlan serves architects, engineers, general contractors, and owners by providing a suite of tools that function as a shared source of truth before construction begins. Its clients include enterprise contractors such as DPR Construction in the U.S. and Innovo Group in the UAE.

MeltPlan's core offering is a "planning engine" composed of four integrated systems: a code system for compliance, a cost system for takeoffs, a schedule system for sequencing, and a value system for trade-off analysis. Two of its initial products are Melt Code, an AI agent for building code research and analysis, and Melt Takeoff, an AI-assisted service for generating accurate quantity takeoffs. Unlike general-purpose AI, MeltPlan's system is purpose-built for the construction industry, trained to understand building codes, materials, and methods, having internally scored 95% or higher on building inspector exams. The platform is designed to simulate outcomes and allow project teams to evaluate constraints before plans are finalized.

In February 2026, MeltPlan announced it had raised $10 million in a seed funding round led by Bessemer Venture Partners, bringing its total funding to $14 million. The capital is intended to expand its team, enhance its vertical AI stack, and accelerate product development.
