Megafood SA was a significant player in the quick-service restaurant (QSR) sector in Spain, operating as a major franchisee for the Burger King brand.

The company was established on September 16, 2002, and grew to manage a substantial network of 80 Burger King restaurants. Its operations were geographically concentrated in the regions of Andalusia, Extremadura, the Canary Islands, Ceuta, and Melilla. The business model was centered on the direct operation of these fast-food establishments, serving the general public with both in-restaurant dining and takeaway services. As a franchisee, its revenue was generated from the sales of Burger King's menu items.

In a strategic move that consolidated the market, Megafood SA was acquired by Restaurant Brands Iberia, the master franchisee for Burger King in Spain and Portugal. The acquisition, finalized on July 2, 2018, was valued at approximately €100 million, a figure that included Megafood's existing debt. At the time of the sale, the company had generated revenues of €95 million in the previous year (2017) and employed a workforce of 1,800 people. Following the acquisition by Restaurant Brands Iberia, the Megafood SA entity was dissolved and is now listed as extinguished.
