About Medly AI

Medly AI is a London edtech company founded in 2023 by former NHS doctors and UCL medicine graduates Dr. Paul Jung (CEO) and Dr. Kavi Samra that builds a curriculum-aligned AI tutor for exam preparation. Aimed at students aged roughly 14–18 (GCSEs, IGCSEs, A-Levels, IB, with US SAT/AP expansion), the platform combines multiple specialised models with neuroscience-informed teaching, instant marking and feedback, handwriting recognition and progress tracking so learners get personalised tutoring without premium private-tutor prices. Since launching in February 2025 Medly reports rapid UK growth (hundreds of thousands of users) and grade-improvement outcomes in exam seasons; it also offers Medly Open for university students. After a February 2025 £1.7 million round led by Eka Ventures with Ada Ventures, Medly raised a €6.89 million ($8 million) Seed in August 2026 led by Felix Capital with Eka, Ada and angels, to grow the UK community, expand internationally and deepen proprietary marking and pedagogy models; it also won a UK Department for Education AI Tutoring Tools Pioneers grant.
