Matr1x is a digital entertainment platform founded in 2022 and based in Singapore, integrating Web3 technology, artificial intelligence, and esports. The company's vision is to build a next-generation digital entertainment platform that returns digital data sovereignty to users. The co-founders include Saku, Madeira, and an individual known as 0xA03C. Madeira has a decade of experience in the financial industry and seven years in Web3, while Saku and 0xA03C have over ten years of experience in mobile game development.

The platform's business model is centered on a free-to-play structure, where revenue is generated from the trading of in-game assets as Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs). Matr1x has developed its own NFT marketplace and also allows third parties to build marketplaces using its APIs. The ecosystem utilizes two primary ERC-20 tokens on the Polygon network: $MAX as a governance token and $FIRE for in-game transactions. $MAX token holders can participate in governance decisions, stake for rewards, and share in platform treasury distributions, while $FIRE is used for character upgrades, opening loot boxes, and other in-game purchases.

Matr1x has raised a total of $20 million over four funding rounds, with investors including Animoca Brands, Makers Fund, OKX Ventures, and Folius Ventures. The platform is developing a trilogy of games with a unified storyline: *Matr1x FIRE* (a first-person shooter), *Matr1x WAR* (Shooting+MMORPG), and *Matr1x EVOLUTION* (SOC). *Matr1x FIRE*, the platform's flagship product, is a 5v5 mobile shooter game set in a cyberpunk-style metaverse. It offers various gameplay modes, including Classic, Battle Royale, and Player vs. Environment (PvE), and features customizable NFT assets like characters and weapons. The company also hosts esports tournaments, such as the Matr1x Fire Asia Masters, to foster community engagement.
