About Mate Security
Mate Security is a Tel Aviv AI-powered security-operations company founded in 2025 by Asaf Wiener (CEO; ex-Wiz/Microsoft), Oren Saban (CPO; Microsoft Defender XDR / Security Copilot) and Guy Pergal (CTO; Microsoft MSTIC / Axonius) that builds an open agentic SOC platform. Agents build an organisation-specific security context graph across assets, users and business processes, then triage alerts, investigate incidents, hunt threats and respond within a continuous detection–response loop that learns from analyst decisions to cut false positives and MTTR. After emerging from stealth in November 2025 with a $15.5 million seed from Team8 and Insight Partners, Mate raised a $35 million Series A in July 2026 led by Canaan Partners, with Insight Partners, Microsoft’s M12 and Team8, bringing total funding above $50 million to expand customer support, sales and R&D.
