In October 2003, MarketRx secured $10.25 million in a Series C funding round from investors including WestBridge Capital (now Sequoia Capital) and Andwel Partners. The company experienced rapid growth, earning spots on Deloitte's list of fastest-growing technology companies in 2005 and 2006. In November 2007, Cognizant Technology Solutions acquired MarketRx for approximately $135 million in cash. The acquisition was intended to bolster Cognizant's capabilities in the analytics sector and expand its service offerings for the life sciences industry.
