Lodo Software
Replace aging online/mobile solutions.
About Lodo Software
Originally founded as LoDo Software in 2005, the company rebranded to D3 Banking Technology to signify its focus on Data Driven Digital Banking. Mark Vipond, an alumnus of the University of Nebraska – Omaha, took the helm as CEO and redirected the company's strategy. With over 25 years of experience in the software industry, including serving as president of ACI Worldwide, Vipond steered the company to build a new digital banking platform from the ground up. This strategic pivot was in response to feedback from mid-size financial institutions who desired a comprehensive new product rather than an embeddable software for their existing online platforms.
D3 Banking Technology provides a white-label digital banking platform for financial institutions, primarily serving large banks and credit unions. The company's business model is centered on licensing its platform, which empowers its clients to control their digital destiny with flexible and scalable solutions. The platform is designed to consolidate disparate digital channels, reducing operational complexity and cost for the financial institution. In July 2019, the Omaha-based company was acquired by NCR Corporation for an undisclosed amount, a move intended to accelerate NCR's 'Digital First Banking' strategy and expand its reach into the large bank market, including on-premise solutions.
The D3 platform delivers a consistent and personalized user experience across all digital channels, including desktops, smartphones, and tablets. A key feature is its use of responsive design in a transactional environment, which automatically adapts the user interface for the specific device being used. The platform includes a powerful analytics engine to enable financial institutions to personalize product and service offerings for each customer. It also offers open APIs and SDKs, giving clients the ability to introduce new services or modify existing ones. The solution supports both consumer and small business banking, allowing users to toggle between personal and business accounts, and includes functionalities like new account opening, money movement, and financial management tools.
