LeisureLink operated as a technology and services provider in the vacation rental market, functioning as a key intermediary between property suppliers and online travel agencies. The company was founded in 1999 by Kelly Tompkins, Dave Berkus, and George Wu. Its core business revolved around a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform that offered distribution and channel management solutions to vacation rental managers, independent hotels, and resorts.

The platform enabled property suppliers to manage their inventory, rates, and availability across a wide network of distribution channels from a single point of control. This network included major online travel agencies like Expedia, Booking.com, and Orbitz, as well as global distribution systems. By consolidating these connections, LeisureLink addressed the complex task of online travel distribution for its clients. In addition to distribution, the company provided revenue management services, business intelligence, and consulting to help property managers maximize their exposure and revenue. The business model also streamlined accounting by consolidating payments from various channels into a single source for their clients.

Over its history, LeisureLink achieved significant financial milestones, raising a total of $37.6 million over four funding rounds. A notable event was the acquisition by VacationRoost in March 2014, after which the combined company was rebranded as LeisureLink. By early 2016, the company had raised a further $17 million in a Series D round to scale operations. However, despite this infusion of capital, the company faced financial difficulties. In September 2016, LeisureLink announced it was ceasing all operations due to a liquidity deficit, terminating its employees and shutting down its platform.
