About Leax
In 1982, in the Swedish town of Köping, Lennart Berggren and Axel Seger founded LEAX, a name derived from their own. They started with a small machining workshop, not imagining it would grow into a global enterprise. The company manufactures complex, high-precision components for heavy vehicles, cars, mining, and other engineering sectors. The company's journey has been one of consistent expansion. A key growth strategy for LEAX has been acquisitions. A significant move came in 2013 when the company acquired Arkivator Industry, adding plants in Sweden, Hungary, and China, and also purchased Gebr. Brinkmann GmbH in Germany. This series of acquisitions was pivotal, expanding their manufacturing footprint significantly. By 2014, LEAX had achieved its goal of being present in all BRIC countries. In February 2022, LEAX announced its intention to launch an IPO on the Nasdaq Stockholm, signaling a major milestone in its four-decade history. Today, what began as a two-person operation has evolved into the LEAX Group, a privately owned business with approximately 1,200 employees and operations across Europe, Asia, and South America, demonstrating a remarkable growth trajectory from a small workshop to a significant player in the global manufacturing industry.
