Leading the Future (LTF) is an American super PAC network established in August 2025 to lobby for policies that support the artificial intelligence industry. The organization's mission is to ensure the United States maintains global leadership in AI by promoting a clear policy agenda at both federal and state levels. It functions as the political and policy hub for the AI sector, aiming to foster economic growth, enhance national security, and drive innovation. LTF operates through a system of federal and state Super PACs and 501(c)(4) issue advocacy organizations, which allows for flexibility in engaging in election cycles.

The super PAC network was launched with over $100 million in initial funding from prominent Silicon Valley investors and executives, including Andreessen Horowitz, OpenAI President Greg Brockman, and Palantir co-founder Joe Lonsdale. LTF's strategy involves supporting pro-AI candidates and opposing those who might hinder AI development, with the goal of shaping a political environment favorable to innovation policy. The organization is modeled after the pro-cryptocurrency group Fairshake, which successfully influenced congressional races to secure favorable regulations. Leading the Future is also affiliated with the nonprofit Build American AI, described as a dark money advocacy group.

Leading the Future is led by two experienced political strategists, Zac Moffatt and Josh Vlasto. Moffatt is the founder and CEO of Targeted Victory, a firm with extensive experience in digital and political strategy for the Republican party. Vlasto, a partner at Bamberger & Vlasto, has a background in high-stakes communications and strategy, having served as Chief of Staff to a New York Governor and Press Secretary to a U.S. Senator. In 2025, LTF began its operations in key states like New York, California, Illinois, and Ohio, with plans for national expansion in 2026. The network's activities include independent expenditures to support candidates, policy development, grassroots engagement, and campaigns to counter what it deems anti-innovation narratives.
