LabMinds provides an artificial intelligence and robotics platform to automate processes within pharmaceutical and life science laboratories. The company was founded in 2009 by Camilla Oxley and Ville Lehtonen with the idea of automating common laboratory procedures. Its flagship product, the REVO platform, is an automated liquid handling system that prepares buffer and stock solutions. The system automates the entire process, including water purification, solid storage and dosing, weighing, stirring, pH control, and vacuum filtering. This automation aims to enhance reliability, traceability, and consistency in solution preparation, which is a critical component of R&D and QA/QC processes in labs.

The company's business model centers on selling its REVO automation system to clients in the bio-pharma industry, from startups to large production facilities. This technology is designed to accelerate drug development while saving time and money. LabMinds has raised a total of $9.6 million over five funding rounds, with its latest Series C round in November 2021 raising $6.4 million. Key investors include Oxford Technology, ACF Investors, Waters Corporation, and Red Deer Capital. Waters Corporation is also a strategic partner and customer, using the REVO system in its own R&D labs.
