His background includes roles as a CTO at Comverse and as an investor on Israel's version of "Shark Tank." Co-founder Ron Porat, the company's CTO, is a cybersecurity veteran who had previously founded and sold several tech companies, including the white-hat hacking firm Hacktics and the IAST solution Seeker. Porat's focus on cybersecurity was driven by a passion for protecting children online.

L1ght operated in the content moderation market, providing a B2B solution for social media platforms, e-commerce sites, and gaming companies. The core of its business was an AI-powered platform designed to detect and manage harmful user-generated content in real-time. This technology analyzed text, images, video, and audio to identify behaviors such as cyberbullying, hate speech, harassment, and predatory actions. Unlike traditional methods that rely on keyword blacklists, L1ght's deep learning algorithms assessed context and behavior over time, allowing for more nuanced moderation. The platform was engineered as an end-to-end infrastructure solution that clients could integrate directly into their applications to safeguard their user base at scale. Before its closure, the company had raised $15 million in a seed round co-led by Mangrove Capital Partners and Tribeca Venture Partners.
