In October 2024, Klay announced a strategic collaboration with Universal Music Group (UMG) to pioneer a commercial ethical model for AI-generated music. This partnership underscores Klay's commitment to developing its technology in consensus with the music industry to mitigate risks to human creators while opening new channels for creativity and revenue. The company, which has operated in stealth mode, has raised $1.25M in funding from investors including 10x Founders, Redseed, AWS Startups, FJ Labs, and Brainstorm Ventures. Klay's business model is focused on becoming the foundational backbone for a new era of music innovation.
