Kingdee International Software Group, founded in 1993 by Xu Shaochun, is a provider of enterprise management software and cloud services headquartered in Shenzhen, China. Xu, who holds degrees in computer science and accounting, as well as an EMBA, has guided the company's evolution from a financial software provider to a major player in the enterprise resource planning (ERP) and cloud computing space. The company's journey began with the launch of its first Windows-based financial software in 1995, a product that helped modernize accounting practices in China. A significant milestone was achieved in 2001 when Kingdee was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, becoming the first privately held Chinese software company to do so. In 2005, it moved to the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Kingdee's business model is centered on a transition from a traditional software licensing model to a cloud subscription-based service, generating recurring revenue. This strategic shift towards cloud services has become a primary driver of the company's growth, with cloud revenue now accounting for a significant majority of its total income.
