While direct-to-consumer sales to low-income women are a core part of its mission, the majority of its revenue is generated from B2B clients like stores, pharmacies, and manufacturers who leverage Kasha for market access and consumer insights. The platform provides a wide range of products, from pharmaceuticals and contraceptives to skincare and baby products.

Initially launched in Rwanda, Kasha expanded into Kenya and has since grown its operations to South Africa and other African nations. The company has successfully raised significant capital to fuel its expansion, including a $21 million Series B round in 2023, the largest for a woman-led African health startup at the time. Key investors include Knife Capital, Finnfund, DFC, Sanofi, and the Gates Foundation. Kasha's business model is designed as a for-profit social enterprise, aiming to deliver both commercial returns and social impact by empowering women and improving public health outcomes.
