About Kaddra

Kaddra emerged on the scene to provide a mobile-first, white-label platform for both B2B and B2C enterprises, focusing on enhancing customer experience and loyalty. Founded in 2020 by Quentin Chiarugi and Will Beattie, the company was born from their direct experience in scaling a traditional luxury distribution business across Asia and recognizing the need for a more integrated digital solution. Quentin Chiarugi, with a background in the luxury and wine industries, brought over 15 years of experience building businesses in the Far East, which directly informed Kaddra's strategic direction.

The company's core offering is a comprehensive customer experience management platform that empowers businesses to connect with their customers through a dedicated mobile app. This platform integrates e-commerce capabilities, payment processing, logistics management, data analytics, and CRM functionalities. By providing a suite of sales and marketing tools within a native app environment, Kaddra aimed to streamline order processing and boost customer engagement. The business model focused on helping small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) improve customer retargeting, a significant challenge for many. Clients reportedly achieved notable increases in repeat customers, conversion rates, and incremental sales using the solution.

Financially, Kaddra demonstrated early traction by securing significant investment. The company raised a total of $10.5 million over two funding rounds. An initial seed round was followed by an additional $2.5 million in January 2022, bringing its total seed funding to $5.5 million. This capital was intended to accelerate growth and scale its self-service offerings. A subsequent Series A round in June 2022 raised another $5 million. Despite this funding and rapid early growth, which included a key partnership with Indonesian payment gateway DOKU, Kaddra ultimately ceased operations. The company filed for bankruptcy and liquidation in October 2022.
