Founded in 1999, the company has established itself in the security industry with over three decades of experience. The company was founded by Su Zhiyong, who serves as the brand's President. His journey in the lock industry began in 1986, evolving from crafting mechanical locks to developing smart lock technology.

The company operates on a vertically integrated business model, controlling the entire production process from its in-house R&D centers to its own manufacturing plants where molding, die-casting, machining, and assembly occur. This structure allows Kaadas to manage quality and production costs effectively. Its products are sold under the Kaadas brand name, and the company also offers to manufacture electronic or smart locks for other companies under their own brands (OEM). Revenue is generated through the sale of these products to a global market that spans over 67 countries across six continents. In March 2022, Kaadas secured $94 million in a Series C funding round to support its expansion into overseas markets. A significant milestone was the company's expansion into North America in early 2023, establishing a warehouse and showroom in southern California.

Kaadas offers a diverse portfolio of smart locks, including deadbolt, mortise, rim, and latch bolt models. These products provide multiple access methods, such as facial recognition, fingerprint and finger vein recognition, PIN codes, RFID cards, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi app control, and traditional mechanical keys. Specific features include 3D facial recognition that cannot be fooled by photos, the ability to issue temporary PINs, auto-locking, and a mobile app for remote monitoring and control. The app notifies users of door activity, including who unlocked it and when. A notable collaboration with Lamborghini resulted in a lock featuring 3D face recognition technology. The company holds over 400 international patents and software copyrights, underscoring its focus on technological development.
