JustVisual, formerly known as Superfish, operated as a provider of visual search and image recognition technology. The company was founded in Israel in 2006 by Adi Pinhas and Michael Chertok. Pinhas, a graduate of Tel Aviv University, previously co-founded Vigilant Technology, a company involved in digital video recording for surveillance. Chertok has a background in large-scale real-time data mining systems. JustVisual secured a total of $19.3 million in funding over four rounds, with its final Series D round in August 2013 raising $10 million, led by Vintage Investment Partners.

The firm's core business revolved around its proprietary algorithm that analyzed images based on color, texture, and shape to find similar and nearly identical visual matches. This technology was offered to developers and partners as an API to integrate visual search capabilities into their own web or mobile applications. One of its direct-to-consumer products was a mobile app called 'Just Like That,' which allowed users to find fashion items by taking a picture. The company originated as Superfish, which became controversial for its ad-injecting software, leading to a rebranding and a stated shift in business focus to JustVisual in June 2015. Following the controversy, particularly an incident involving pre-installed software on Lenovo computers, the company announced it was ceasing the Superfish business and focusing solely on its visual search technology under the new name. The company is now considered deadpooled.
