About JASMEF

JASMEF is a specialized SME Impact Private Equity fund dedicated to investing growth capital into small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across the Caribbean. The fund targets businesses with committed promoters, high integrity, proven management, and scalable business models. JASMEF's geographical focus includes Jamaica, other CARICOM member states, the Dominican Republic, and the Dutch Caribbean. The fund provides not only financial investment but also capacity building and technical assistance to enhance business growth, productivity, job creation, and exports. A key aspect of JASMEF's strategy is to help portfolio companies improve their Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards, thereby generating positive impacts for their communities. JASMEF was selected by the Development Bank of Jamaica, in partnership with the World Bank, as the fund manager for an SME private equity fund, a role secured through a global contest. The fund is part of the World Bank's Jamaica Access to Finance for MSMEs Project. JASMEF is exclusively open to verified and reputable institutional and sophisticated investors, not retail investors.
