The acquisition was a strategic move for Wipro to expand its geographical footprint and establish delivery centers in the northeast of Brazil, leveraging IVIA's local talent and established client relationships. At the time of the acquisition announcement, IVIA had a workforce of over 700 professionals. The transaction was completed in August 2020.
