ITBMed
Clinical-stage biotech developing the anti-CD2 antibody siplizumab for transplantation and immune-mediated diseases
About ITBMed
ITB-MED is a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing immunomodulatory therapies for organ transplantation and immune-mediated diseases. Its lead asset is siplizumab (TCD601), a humanized anti-CD2 monoclonal antibody originally developed by MedImmune as MEDI-507, which ITB-MED is evaluating as a modernized induction agent in kidney transplantation and in indications including ALS and hidradenitis suppurativa. The pipeline also includes the preclinical assets ITB100, ITB200 and ITB300 for transplant and autoimmune indications. The company's long-term aim is durable immune tolerance that could free transplant patients from chronic immunosuppressive therapy.
ITB-MED AB was registered in Stockholm in 2015 and operates from Forskaren near Karolinska University Hospital, with a US office in New York. It is owned by Zelarion Group, chaired by Royalty Pharma founder Pablo Legorreta, and raised $67 million in 2018 to fund its clinical program.
