Interchange is building a correspondent clearing firm and developer platform that provides direct connectivity to U.S. financial markets. The company aims to support the next generation of securities-based products by partnering with broker-dealers, investment advisers, banks, trust companies, and various fintech firms both in the United States and internationally. Their goal is to deliver enhanced investing experiences for their clients' customers.

The company's wholly-owned subsidiary, Interchange Clearing LLC, is registered with the SEC and is a member of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC). It has also received membership approvals from The Depository Trust Company (DTC), National Securities Clearing Corporation (NSCC), and Nasdaq Stock Market LLC (NQX). Interchange announced in December 2025 that it had raised $17 million in seed funding. The round included participation from MS&AD Ventures, BoxGroup, Plug and Play Ventures, and Liquid2, among others. The company is planning for a launch in 2026.

The platform offers a sandbox API and a developer portal for interested partners to begin building. Interchange Clearing LLC has also prepared disclosures in accordance with FINRA rules, covering aspects like their Business Continuity Plan and a Money Market Sweep feature. The founder and CEO is Michael H. Giles.
