InSpatio is a spatial intelligence company developing open-source, real-time 3D and 4D world models to enable AI systems to perceive, understand, and interact with physical environments. Founded in July 2025, the company aims to provide the foundational infrastructure for the next generation of artificial intelligence, which it believes will be defined by spatial understanding. The company recently announced the completion of a Pre-A funding round worth tens of millions of dollars, with participation from Photon Venture Capital, Shunwei Capital, and Sequoia China. This capital is intended for model research and development, building a dynamic 3D data infrastructure, and talent recruitment.

The founding team consists of experts in 3D vision and spatial intelligence from Zhejiang University's CAD&CG Lab and SenseTime. The founder, Dr. Zhang Guofeng, is a Distinguished Professor at Zhejiang University with over two decades of experience in 3D vision and spatial computing, and previously served as Chief Scientist at SenseTime. Co-founder and CTO, Dr. Haomin Liu, is a serial entrepreneur who formerly worked as a Research Director at SenseTime, where he led the development of a commercial mobile SLAM solution that predated Apple's ARKit and Google's ARCore.

InSpatio's core technology is built on a "3D native" route, constructing a geometric structure of the world first rather than interpreting 2D videos. This approach allows for the creation of computable and interactive 3D world states. The company has released several open-source models, including InSpatio-WorldFM, a real-time generative model that runs on consumer-grade GPUs, and InSpatio-World, a 4D model that can transform a single video into a dynamic, explorable world. InSpatio recently announced a new world simulator, Topos 1.0, which will be available for beta testing soon. These technologies are designed for applications in robotics, embodied AI, autonomous driving, gaming, and industrial simulation by providing a platform to generate and test scenarios in realistic, interactive 3D environments.
