About INNOMED

Suzhou Innomed Medical Device Co., Ltd. is a technology company focused on developing and manufacturing interventional and implantable medical devices. Founded in January 2013 by Dr. Xiaoyan Gong, the company is headquartered in the BioBay of Suzhou Industrial Park, China, with a research and development center in Irvine, California. Dr. Gong, the company's CEO and President, previously founded Medical Implant Mechanics LLC in 2006 and worked at Johnson & Johnson, where he gained experience with Nitinol-based interventional devices.

Innomed operates in the peripheral vascular, structural heart disease, and high-value pathway consumables markets. The company develops and manufactures products such as guidewires, braided self-expanding stent systems, and catheters for treating occlusive arterial diseases. Key products include the Inno-Spring peripheral vascular stent system, which won a Red Dot Design Award in 2016, the Inno-Xmart venous stent, and various guidewires like Inno-Hydrowire and Inno-Pathwire. Several of its products have received regulatory approval from the NMPA in China as well as FDA clearance in the United States and CE certification in the European Union.

The company's business model transitioned from a value-added OEM manufacturer to an R&D-driven manufacturer in late 2014, supported by angel investors and venture capital. In May 2022, Innomed secured over CNY 100 million (approximately USD 15 million) in a Series C+ financing round led by Innoval Capital. In addition to producing its own branded devices, the company provides third-party independent technical services, including durability assessments and product evaluations, through its subsidiary, Suzhou Medical Implant Mechanics Co. Ltd.
