IMU Biosciences is a UK biotechnology company founded in 2021 by Dr Adam Laing, Dr Tom Hayday and Mario Cantero that builds CytAtlas, an AI-powered systems immune-profiling platform rooted in research from King’s College London and the Francis Crick Institute. From a small blood sample CytAtlas analyses vast immune datasets to quantify thousands of cell subsets for applications in immuno-oncology, cell therapy, autoimmune disease and transplantation, and IMU participates in the UK MANIFEST cancer-immunotherapy consortium. After an earlier £11.5 million Series A tranche in January 2024 led by Molten Ventures, in June 2026 IMU announced an oversubscribed financing that brought its Series A to over $53 million (about £40 million), co-led by IQ Capital and Molten Ventures with the British Business Bank, Meltwind and existing investors, taking total funding to about $60 million to expand operations, clinical-platform infrastructure and programs in transplantation and cancer immunotherapy.
