Huayi Quantum

HYQ (Huayi Quantum) is a Beijing-based trapped-ion quantum computing company spun out of Tsinghua University's Quantum Information Center and founded by CAS academician Duan Luming. Its second-generation commercial prototype, the HYQ-B100, demonstrates stable control of more than 100 ion qubits with competitive gate fidelity and coherence. The company raised a Series A of several hundred million RMB in July 2025, backed by a Social Security Fund Zhongguancun vehicle (via China Venture) and the Beijing Information Industry Development Investment Fund, followed by a Series A+ in May 2026 led by a China Development Bank / state-backed investment vehicle with CITIC-affiliated and CRRC Capital co-investors. Baidu Ventures is among its earlier backers.
