Founded by Satya Vyas, the platform was introduced to address common inefficiencies in the construction material supply chain, such as procurement delays and a lack of price transparency. HomeRun operates on a quick commerce model, utilizing dark stores to fulfill orders rapidly. The company currently operates from two dark stores in Bengaluru, with plans to expand its network to five to enhance its coverage and service speed.

The platform serves contractors, professionals, and individual homeowners, delivering a wide range of products including cement, hardware, plywood, paints, and electricals. HomeRun distinguishes itself by eliminating minimum order requirements, allowing customers to purchase small quantities, like a single bag of cement, without facing high transportation costs. This on-demand delivery service directly to construction sites is a key feature, streamlining the process for urgent or unforeseen material needs.

HomeRun is a brand under ProjectHero, which has previously secured $3.6 million in funding from investors such as Ankur Capital, Omidyar Network, and Titan Capital. The platform serves approximately 800 SKUs across 76 pin codes in Bengaluru. By bringing the speed and convenience of quick commerce to the construction sector, HomeRun aims to set a new standard for efficiency in material procurement.
