Hocco Ice Cream, a legacy brand, is renowned for serving premium ice creams with a wide variety of flavors to satisfy every sweet tooth. Originating in 1983 with the first casual dine-in restaurant in Baroda, the Chona family built a reputation for quality food and ice cream. By 2000, they established a central kitchen to standardize operations and scale their QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) and restaurant business, ensuring consistent taste and quality. In 2005, Ankit Chona, after gaining experience from Purdue and Panera Bread, initiated the first franchise operations and expanded the ice cream business into neighboring states of Gujarat. In 2017, the Chonas sold their ice cream business to a South Korean company and refocused on their food service ventures. By 2019, they launched HOCCO, standing for House of Chonas Collaborative, to expand their legacy food service business. As of 2023, HOCCO has gained significant momentum with 100 outlets in India and has entered the USA market with its first QSR outlet in Virginia. The business model revolves around serving authentic Indian recipes with a modern twist, catering to new-age customers who crave delicious Indian food. Revenue is generated through their QSR outlets, dine-in restaurants, and franchise operations.
