Henan Cable, officially known as China Broadcasting Network Henan Co., Ltd., is the primary operator of cable television and multimedia services in Henan province. Originally established as Henan Cable Television Network Group Co., Ltd. on August 6, 2001, the company has been central to the province's media landscape. In March 2022, it was officially renamed to align with its parent company, China Broadcasting Network (CBN). CBN is the national state-owned carrier authorized to operate China's nationwide cable TV network and is one of the country's four licensed 5G carriers.

The company's mandate from the Henan provincial government includes the integration and digitization of the cable television network across the region. Its extensive infrastructure covers 18 prefectures and 108 counties, serving millions of cable TV users. The network is comprised of thousands of kilometers of provincial and municipal trunk lines, enabling the delivery of high-definition television, broadband internet, and other multimedia services. The business model revolves around providing these subscription-based services to a broad residential customer base.

As part of the national "one network" initiative, Henan Cable has been actively involved in consolidating the province's disparate county-level cable networks into a unified platform. This strategy is designed to create a more efficient, modern, and integrated service offering, transitioning from traditional television viewing to interactive applications. The integration efforts have been supported by significant strategic investments, including a major agreement with the national China Broadcasting Network in 2018 to enhance infrastructure and develop new services like cloud and big data centers. The company is a key cultural enterprise supported by the provincial government and plays a crucial role in the national strategy of converging telecommunications, computer networks, and cable TV networks.
