Founded in 2007 by CEO Zhou Dachuang, a former engineer at the China Academy of Space Technology, HEAD Aerospace Group is a privately-owned company headquartered in Beijing. Initially focused on facilitating international space product trade into China, the firm has evolved into a one-stop-shop service provider of geospatial intelligence and satellite-based Internet of Things (IoT) solutions. The company has a global presence with subsidiaries and offices in Hong Kong, the Netherlands, and France.

HEAD Aerospace's business operates across three main segments: international aerospace trade, satellite data fusion applications, and satellite communication services. A core offering is integrated access to data from multiple Earth observation (EO) satellite constellations, including China's Jilin and Gaofen constellations.
