Hata
Malaysia dual-licensed crypto exchange — SC and LFSA regulated
About Hata
Hata is Malaysia's dual-licensed digital-asset exchange, allowing users to buy, sell, custody, and manage cryptocurrencies with fiat on-ramps under licences from the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) and the Labuan Financial Services Authority (LFSA). Founded by Malaysians and led by CEO David Low, the platform combines an online exchange with OTC services and has added products such as Solana staking and auto-invest (DCA).
In April 2026 Hata closed a US$8 million Series A led by Bybit with participation from global family offices, following Bybit's earlier US$4.2 million seed participation. Proceeds target liquidity, user growth, and joint digital-asset products for Malaysian users. By end-2025 Hata reported more than 209,000 registered users, about RM1.04 billion in 2025 transaction volume, and tens of millions of ringgit in assets under custody.
