Founded in 2013 by Ryan Michael Pratt, the company is headquartered in Greensboro, North Carolina. Pratt, who serves as CEO, possesses two decades of experience in the RF semiconductor industry, including roles at Skyworks and RF Micro Devices (RFMD), a company co-founded by his father, Bill Pratt. After being laid off from Skyworks in 2013, Ryan Pratt was encouraged by his father to start his own company, leading to the creation of Guerrilla RF. His engineering background, with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University, has shaped his product-focused management philosophy.

The company operates on a fabless business model, outsourcing the manufacturing, production, and testing of its products to subcontractors primarily in Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
