About Gridsight

Gridsight is a Sydney-founded AI capacity-management platform for electric utilities that turns fragmented network data into a utility-specific Foundational Grid Model so operators can see where and when latent capacity exists and connect new load without waiting for new infrastructure. Founded in 2020 and led by co-founder and CEO Brendan Banfield, the platform combines electrical physics with AI agents to support real-time hosting capacity, solar export management and distribution planning. Named customers include Endeavour Energy in Australia — which doubled static rooftop solar export limits from 5 kW to 10 kW with dynamic control — and U.S. utilities including Xcel Energy and United Illuminating (Avangrid). In September 2026 Gridsight raised US$26 million in Series B funding led by Insight Partners, with Galvanize and existing investors Airtree, Energy Transition Ventures and Aera VC, to accelerate U.S. expansion while continuing growth in Australia and other markets.
