Grey Wolf Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biotechnology company, with operations in the UK and Australia, developing a novel class of immunotherapies against cancer and other diseases. The company was founded in 2017 by Peter Joyce and Tom McCarthy. Joyce, the current CEO, has over 16 years of experience in biomedical research and drug discovery, including a prior role at Vertex Pharmaceuticals. McCarthy has a background as the former President and CEO of Spinifex Pharmaceuticals, which was acquired by Novartis.

The company's core technology focuses on antigen modulation to address immune dysfunction. A second ERAP1 inhibitor, GRWD0715, is in preclinical development for autoimmune diseases. The company is also working on an ERAP2 drug discovery program. Its business model involves the discovery and development of these drug candidates, advanced through academic and commercial partnerships, with revenue generated via milestones and potential commercialization.

The company is backed by a syndicate of venture capital investors, including ICG Life Sciences, Pfizer Ventures, Andera Partners, Canaan, Earlybird Venture Capital, and Oxford Science Enterprises. In May 2024, Grey Wolf announced a $50 million expansion of its Series B financing, bringing the total raised in that round to $99 million, to advance its clinical trials and expand R&D into autoimmune applications.
