About Gravis Robotics
Gravis Robotics is a Zurich ETH spin-out building AI autonomy software that retrofits excavators and other heavy construction machines so they can work with remote or autonomous operation on construction sites and in hazardous terrain. The stack combines machine telemetry with physical sensing for self-stabilisation, autonomous manoeuvres and augmented vision so operators can match or exceed in-cab productivity without sitting in the cab. The company sells and supports autonomy for critical infrastructure and construction customers facing labour shortages and slow productivity growth in heavy equipment. In August 2026 Gravis raised a $200 million Series A from SoftBank—reported as one of the largest Series A rounds in construction robotics—to scale global deployment and hiring.
