Goodworker
Full-stack, blue-and-grey collar recruitment and learning platform
About Goodworker
GoodWorker Technologies Pvt. Ltd. was established in Bengaluru, India, in October 2020 as a joint venture between SchoolNet India and LemmaTree, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the global investment company Temasek. The company was conceived with a social agenda to address the employment and livelihood challenges faced by India's vast blue and grey-collar workforce. Its formation included a significant Rs 250 crore investment into Pravasi Rojgar, a platform initiated by actor Sonu Sood and Schoolnet, to formalize their joint efforts in aiding migrant workers.
The firm operates as a digital recruitment and learning platform targeting blue-collar job seekers and the employers looking to hire them. Its business model focuses on creating a marketplace that connects workers with verified job opportunities, aiming to eliminate intermediaries who often charge fees. For employers, GoodWorker provides a portal to list vacancies and source qualified candidates efficiently, thereby optimizing productivity and reducing losses from labor shortages. The service is free for job seekers. By March 31, 2024, the company reported revenue of ₹2.48Cr.
GoodWorker's primary offering is a mobile application available on the Google Play Store. A key feature launched was OWVI (Online Walk-in and Video Interactions), a digital platform designed to facilitate virtual, face-to-face interviews between employers and candidates in a streamlined manner. This system allows employers to create video hiring events, and the platform manages the queue of candidates, presenting their profiles on-screen during the call and enabling real-time shortlisting or rejection. In addition to job matching, the company developed a learning and upskilling arm called L.earn, which provided mobile-first, vernacular content for workers in sectors like logistics and retail. However, following a strategic pivot and significant restructuring which saw most staff laid off, GoodWorker's L.earn platform was acquired by Vahan.ai in July 2025.
