GoNet Systems, founded in 2003 by Roy Kinamon, Oz Leave, and Yaron Fein, established itself as a developer of carrier-class Mobile Broadband Wireless (MBW) Wi-Fi solutions. Headquartered in Tel Aviv, Israel, the firm targeted service providers seeking to deploy high-performance wireless infrastructure. The company's business model revolved around providing a suite of hardware and software products that enabled cellular operators and wireless service providers to manage increasing mobile data consumption, particularly through 3G/4G data offloading. A significant milestone was its acquisition by NextWave Wireless in January 2007 for $13.3 million. Prior to this, GoNet Systems had secured $20 million in a Series A venture capital round in December 2004.

The core of GoNet's offering was its proprietary xRF Beamforming technology, which was integrated into its GoBeam series of access points. This technology, combined with a cellular-mesh Wi-Fi architecture, was designed to enhance network capacity and mitigate interference, delivering two to four times the capacity of competing systems and effective noise reduction. The product line included various indoor and outdoor access points like the GoBeam 5100 and 8000 series, as well as wireless access controllers, designed for bandwidth-heavy applications such as video streaming and VoIP. These solutions were engineered to operate in both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands and supported Wi-Fi standards up to 802.11ac. A key feature was the ability to create self-healing and self-assembling mesh networks, which increased reliability and lowered initial deployment costs for clients like Brazilian telecom operator Oi, which deployed GoNet's solutions along the beaches of Rio de Janeiro.

The company's technology portfolio included patented systems for beamforming, antenna synthesis, and methods for mitigating interference, allowing their hardware to be co-located with 3G and WiMAX networks without performance degradation. GoNet Systems operated in the connectivity products and wireless communications equipment industries. Following its initial acquisition, the company appears to have undergone further corporate changes and is now listed as out of business as an independent entity.
