In 2009, GodTube was relaunched under the name Tangle.com to broaden its appeal and incorporate social networking features. Shortly thereafter, in June 2010, both GodTube.com and Tangle.com were acquired by Salem Web Network, a subsidiary of Salem Communications. This acquisition placed GodTube within a large portfolio of faith-based media properties, solidifying its market position. Tangle.com was discontinued later that year.
Under the ownership of Salem Media Group, GodTube operates as a video-sharing platform where users can upload their own content and view professionally produced videos. The platform's revenue is primarily generated through advertising. It offers a wide range of content categories, including music videos, comedy, sermons, and inspirational clips, all moderated to align with Christian values. GodTube has established exclusive partnerships with major Christian music labels like Universal Music Group and Provident Label Group to feature their artists.
