Gizmo is a London-based AI learning platform that turns notes, documents and web content into personalised study tools — interactive flashcards, adaptive quizzes and gamified challenges — using spaced repetition, active recall and social features so learners can collaborate and track progress. Founded by University of Cambridge graduates Petros Christodoulou (CEO), Robin Jack (CTO) and Paul Evangelou (CPO), Gizmo serves more than 13 million learners in 120+ countries across secondary school, university and professional upskilling. In April 2026 Gizmo raised a $22 million Series A led by Shine Capital, with Ada Ventures, Seek Ventures, GSV and NFX (which led the prior $3.5 million seed) participating. Capital expands engineering and AI teams, US college-market growth and product development.
