About Genesis Systems

Genesis Systems LLC, a Tampa-based technology firm established in 2016, is focused on addressing global water scarcity through its atmospheric water generation (AWG) technology. The company was co-founded by the husband-and-wife team, David and Shannon Stuckenberg. Shannon Stuckenberg, the CEO, has a background in conservation and NGO leadership, with experience in water and food sustainability in challenging environments. David Stuckenberg, the COO, is an aerospace engineer, inventor, and veteran combat pilot whose firsthand observations of water needs during deployment inspired the core technology. His background includes high-level strategic roles at the Department of State and the Joint Chiefs of Staff, as well as building companies from the ground up.

The company engineers, develops, and markets renewable water technologies. Genesis Systems has secured $39.8 million in funding over nine rounds to advance its mission. A significant milestone was an oversubscribed Seed Series round of $10.25 million, which included notable investors like Paresh Ghelani, co-founder of the X-PRIZE Water Abundance Prize. The firm also acquired Molecule (USA) in May 2023 to further enhance its technological capabilities.

The core of Genesis Systems' offering is the WaterCube®, a patented AWG system that extracts potable water from ambient air. This technology is designed to operate efficiently even in low-humidity environments where other AWG systems may fail. The product line is scalable, catering to a diverse client base that includes residential, industrial, agricultural, military, and humanitarian sectors. Models range from the WC-10, producing over 10 gallons per day for off-grid living, to the WC-100, which can generate more than 120 gallons daily for a household, up to industrial-scale systems producing thousands of gallons. The systems can be powered by renewable energy sources like solar or conventional electricity grids. A distinguishing feature is the system's ability to capture carbon (CO2) during the water generation process, positioning it as a green technology.

Revenue is generated through the sale of these WaterCube® units. The technology mimics nature's process of condensation and incorporates a multi-stage filtration and purification process to ensure water quality meets or exceeds EPA standards. The systems are also IoT-enabled, allowing for remote monitoring and performance optimization via a dedicated application.
