About Generare Bioscience

Generare Bioscience is a Paris biotechnology company founded in 2023 by CEO Guillaume Vandenesch and CSO Dr. Vincent Libis that generates novel small-molecule data from microbial genomes for drug discovery. Its platform combines high-throughput cloning and sequencing to identify, express and characterise bioactive compounds from environmental microbes, expanding chemical space beyond the narrow set of historically explored natural products for pharmaceutical and research partners. After a €5 million seed in October 2024 (Teampact.ventures, Galion.exe, VIVES Partners) and early adoption among pharma and research organisations, Generare raised €20 million Series A in April 2026 co-led by Alven and Daphni with returning Galion.exe, Teampact and VIVES, to expand its compound library, scale the discovery platform and grow the multidisciplinary team.
