In the mid-1960s, in the town of Oswego, New York, a story of family entrepreneurship began. Thomas Galloway and his wife Bridget started selling real estate and insurance right from their home. This humble beginning laid the foundation for Galloway Real Estate, which Tom grew from a one-man office into a thriving agency with 12 agents. The playbook was simple: hard work and a deep commitment to the local community. A significant move came when Tom Galloway decided to buy into a larger franchise, first with Realty World and later with Century 21 Real Estate. This affiliation with Century 21 proved to be a pivotal decision, setting the stage for decades of growth. In 1994, the business transitioned to the next generation. Tom’s son, William “Bill” Galloway, who had earned his real estate license at 18, purchased the company from his father along with his wife, Elaine. Bill took over as broker and owner, dedicating his career to the business his father built. Under their leadership, and later with technological help from their sons, the firm solidified its position in the market. Today, CENTURY 21 Galloway Realty stands as a major real estate company in Oswego County. The firm has been recognized as the #1 office in New York State for the total number of closed transactions for Century 21, a testament to its long-standing presence and multi-generational effort.
