The original concept was developed by Studio Silvio Tarchini, which manages the flagship FoxTown Factory Stores in Mendrisio, Switzerland. The Swiss location, situated near the Italian border, serves as a major shopping destination, generating €100 million in sales in 2004 from 3 million customers, including a substantial number of international tourists. The Shanghai property mirrors this model, providing a large-scale shopping environment of 40,000 square meters with around 100 individual shops. The company also operates a loyalty program, FoxPrivilege, which provides customers with exclusive offers and services through a mobile app.
