Established in 2016 in Copenhagen, Denmark, Forecast was founded by Dennis Kayser, Rasmus Aaen Madsen, Niels Frederiksen, Danny Larsen, and Jens Duelund Pallesen. CEO Dennis Kayser, who holds a Master's in Computer Science and certifications in PRINCE2, Scrum, and Kanban, co-founded the company with the mission to eliminate spreadsheets from project and resource management. The firm has seen significant financial traction, raising a total of $34.1 million over five funding rounds. A key milestone was the $19 million Series A round in February 2021, led by Balderton Capital with participation from existing investors Crane, SEED Capital, and Heartcore. This investment took the company's valuation to $52 million. In a strategic move, Forecast was acquired by Accelo on July 22, 2025.
