Folio-Sec
AI-powered, automated investment and asset management services
About Folio-Sec
Folio-Sec is a Japanese securities company that provides automated asset management services, including robo-advisors. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of the SBI Group. It was established on December 10, 2015. Morifumi Yotsumoto serves as the Representative for the company.
Folio-Sec's flagship services include "ROBOPRO," an AI-powered investment service, and "Omakase Investment," a robo-advisor. ROBOPRO utilizes artificial intelligence to analyze over 40 types of market data and predict financial market trends, automatically adjusting investment allocations across up to eight global asset classes like stocks, bonds, real estate, and gold. This service is designed for a range of users, from beginners to experienced investors, as it automates stock research, selection, monitoring, and periodic reviews. The platform dynamically adjusts asset allocation monthly based on AI predictions to adapt to various market conditions.
For financial institutions, Folio-Sec offers "4RAP," a SaaS-type discretionary investment platform. This system enables financial institutions to offer discretionary investment products under their own brand while maintaining their customer accounts. An example of this is the "SBI Wrap" service, offered in collaboration with SBI SECURITIES since March 2022, which has seen significant asset growth.
The company is registered as a Financial Instruments Business Operator and also engages in the Investment Advisory and Agency Business, providing investment advice for publicly offered investment trusts. Its business model centers on charging an annual management fee of 1% (1.1% including tax) on the market value of the customer's assets under management. No fees are charged for account opening, additional investments, ETF transactions, or withdrawals.
