FluxCo operates a digital marketplace and provides end-to-end services aimed at resolving critical bottlenecks in the electrical transformer supply chain. Founded in 2025 by Casey Wu, Benji Miller, and Brian Tochman, the Austin-based company was established to address the widespread project delays caused by transformer shortages, an issue Tochman repeatedly encountered as an investor. FluxCo targets a market characterized by opaque pricing, fragmented global supply, and unpredictable lead times that can stall major infrastructure projects. FluxCo's business model centers on a platform that connects transformer buyers with a global network of over 150 vetted manufacturing partners. This approach simplifies procurement by acting as a single, trusted source for what is traditionally a complex process. The platform uses AI-assisted technology for technical specifications, provides competitive bids, compares pricing and delivery timelines, and manages the entire process from procurement and production to delivery and servicing. The company offers full Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) services, handling everything from initial specification to final installation. It sources all major transformer types, including Padmount, Substation, Distribution, and Dry-Type, and assists clients with navigating regulatory requirements like the DOE 2027 efficiency standards. FluxCo serves a range of high-growth industries dependent on reliable power infrastructure, such as data centers, renewable energy projects, EV charging infrastructure, utilities, and industrial manufacturing. In July 2026, FluxCo secured $26 million in a seed funding round co-led by 8VC and Congruent Ventures. The capital is intended to enhance its AI-native engineering models and expand its global supplier network. Within its first four months of operation, the company reported having processed orders for over 1,000 transformers across 34 projects, totaling approximately $30 million.
