About FinTell

FinTell, also known as Ronghui Jinke, is a financial technology service provider operating with the mission to “Empower Finance with Intelligence through Technology”. Established in June 2017, the Beijing-headquartered company provides one-stop, premium fintech services, primarily catering to banks and licensed financial institutions across China. The business model is centered on delivering smart risk control decisions and systematic solutions that help financial partners achieve compliant and healthy development in the inclusive finance sector. Revenue is generated by providing these specialized technology products and services to its institutional client base.

The company's offerings are structured around three main pillars: Data Empowerment, Model Empowerment, and System Empowerment. FinTell leverages mobile internet big data and artificial intelligence to build its proprietary "Fintell IP" risk profiling system, which supports end-to-end risk control. It develops customized models for clients, including credit scoring models, anti-fraud models, and customer acquisition response models. Furthermore, FinTell provides system-level software products such as a Credit Derivative Metrics Management Platform, a Model Monitoring Hub, and lightweight SuperAPI solutions for functions like underwriting and digital customer acquisition. These tools are designed to assist financial institutions with full lifecycle risk management, particularly for their internet-based lending operations.

Co-founder Jun Sheng serves as the company's Vice President and Chief Scientist. His extensive background in risk management is central to FinTell's capabilities. Before co-founding the company, Sheng was the General Manager and Head of RIM Decision Science at Baidu. Prior to that, he spent eight years at American Express, rising to the position of Director of Global Risk Oversight and Enterprise Model Validation. His journey also includes a significant period in scientific research at the California Institute of Technology, following a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Michigan State University. This blend of deep financial risk expertise and scientific discipline underpins the company's data-driven approach.

Since its inception, FinTell has expanded its physical presence by opening offices in Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Chengdu. The company has successfully navigated multiple funding rounds, securing a Series A round from Sequoia in January 2018, a Series A+ from China Growth Capital in 2019, a Series B from Telstra Ventures and Sequoia in 2020, and another Series B round from Youshan Capital in June 2021.
