The company was founded in 2014 by David Lotfi and Matthieu Oldfield and is headquartered in Versailles, France. Lotfi, the CEO, developed a successful anti-fraud solution in 2013 in response to emerging fraud in the mobile payments market, which later became the foundation of Evina. The company has secured $22.6M in a Series A funding round led by Radian Capital.

Evina provides a suite of anti-fraud solutions for Mobile Network Operators (MNOs), merchants, ad networks, and payment gateways. Their client roster includes major telecom operators like Orange, Bouygues Telecom, Ooredoo, Vodacom, and MTN. The company operates on a SaaS model, offering products that block fraudulent activities in real time. Evina's technology is deployed in over 80 countries, analyzing millions of transactions daily to detect and prevent fraud.

Key products include DCBprotect, which secures direct carrier billing; MobileMoneyProtect for mobile money transfers; BrandProtect for detecting fraudulent ads; and Eyewitness, which records user journeys on payment pages. The company's technology utilizes machine learning, a global honeypot network in over 70 countries, and what it terms a "3D footprint" of fraudulent behavior to distinguish between human and bot-initiated transactions. This allows Evina to detect 99.94% of fraudulent transactions with a latency of less than 100 milliseconds and a low false-positive rate.
